The main event for BTC 23: Revolution has been announced: Jordan “Young Gun” Mein versus Dilano “The Postman” Taylor
Fighting out of Lethbridge, Alberta’s Canadian Martial Arts Centre Jordan Mein has been one of Canada’s best MMA fighters for almost two decades. Making his pro debut in 2006 “Young Gun” reached an impressive record with 25 wins and 8 losses by 2013 before getting signed by the UFC. His 5 years in the world’s top promotion saw Mein pick up wins over many top competitors including Mike Pyle, Alex Morono, Dan Miller and Erick Silva.
Jordan Mein is now 34 years old, very much in his physical prime and looking to prove he’s still one of the best in the world. Kingston gets the opportunity of a lifetime to see the Canadian legend on the regional circuit again. But the fight ahead of him will be no easy task as one of America’s best heads to Canada.
Fighting out of the powerhouse gym Killcliff Fight Club in Dania Beach, Florida top-ranked welterweight Dilano Taylor is ready for the challenge. “The Postman” dominated his way through the regional scene with a 7-fight win streak before signing with the PFL. Taylor picked up back-to-back wins under the PFL banner before taking a loss to the eventual $1,000,000 tournament winner Magomed Magomedkerimov.
His following match-up pitted him against former UFC title challenger Rory MacDonald. “The Postman” came in as the underdog against the Canadian but stunned the world with a devastating right hand earning a first-round TKO and the biggest win of his career.
Taylor made it to the $1,000,000 welterweight tournament final but would come up short in a decision against Sadibou Sy. Looking to bounce back into the win column, a victory over Jordan Mein is just what The Postman needs to prove he’s still ready to compete with the best in the world.
